A long queue at the border takes a lot of energy with children. Here are the official places for live waiting times, and what mobile use costs.

  • Live cameras at the border: Serbia (Ministry of the Interior, including Batrovci and Šid) and Romania (border police: average waiting time in classes of 0 to 29, 30 to 59 and over 59 minutes). Hungary (police) has a border information page. Source: mup.gov.rs, politiadefrontiera.ro, police.hu
  • Calls and mobile data: in the EU you pay no extra roaming charges thanks to 'Roam like at home'. For Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia the EU Council only authorised negotiations on 4 June 2026: roaming charges may still apply there.
