Doing extra shopping on Saturday spares you a hungry Sunday. Below is what we found at official sources; for the other countries we have not found a source yet.
- Poland: on Sundays and public holidays trading in shops is prohibited. In 2026 the trading Sundays are: 25 January, 29 March, 26 April, 28 June, 30 August and 6, 13 and 20 December. The ban does not apply to, among others, petrol stations, pharmacies and shops in hotels. Source: zielonalinia.gov.pl, gov.pl
- Slovenia: shops may not set their own opening hours on Sundays and other days off. Exceptions are shops of up to 200 m² at service stations, border crossings, ports, airports, railway and bus stations and hospitals. Source: spot.gov.si
