Campsites and holiday parks in Slovenia

This is part of our Travel guide for Slovenia, with tolls, traffic rules and routes.

A good campsite makes a big difference to your holiday: somewhere the children can play and you can finally relax. Below you'll find the campsites in Slovenia that stand out according to the sources.

We've done the research for you: for these 18 campsites in Slovenia we compared the ACSI Awards 2026, the ratings on ACSI Eurocampings and the campsites’ own websites. No sponsored stories, just an honest overview: for each campsite we explain why it made the list and who it suits best. The award winners come first, then the best-rated campsites. We haven't camped here ourselves, so we let the sources speak.

Written by Arjan (Zuidlaren) · visited in person · updated on 23 October 2026 · About this page

This list for Slovenia includes 10 campsites and 8 holiday parks or glamping sites. 9 are suitable for families, 5 for solo travellers and 2 are child free. Wild camping: see the Rules on the Country Page.

Good to know: we award the label “suitable for solo travellers” ourselves, based on location and facilities (city nearby, outdoor activities, shared facilities). So it is not a label from the campsite itself.

Camping on Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj

Lake Bohinj near Ribčev Laz: jetties, swimmers and SUP paddlers, behind the mountains
Own photo

There are 4 places around Bled in this list (camping and glamping). At Lake Bohinj you can only stay at the campsite or in the overnight car park for motorhomes. Anyone who stays overnight outside the designated sites pays €500 per person in Bohinj. (source: Municipality of Bohinj, 2026)

Arjan himself was at the Bohinj lake (see photo) and ate there in a restaurant that he really liked; Unfortunately, he no longer knows the name. Bohinj is calmer than Bled; More tips in Travel guide for Slovenia and by the Excursions.
